Your first week as an expert on Orum
The first days set your pace. What to finish on your profile, how many hours to stay online, and how to earn your first review without giving away your time.

Nobody arrives on the platform with reviews. Your first week is not about earning, it is about getting the three or four conversations that give you a reputation for everything after.
Day 1: finish your profile
Clients compare profiles before spending balance, and they compare what they can see. Four things carry weight:
- A real photo. Not a symbol, not a card, not a landscape. A person.
- A specific speciality. "Tarot and support through breakups" says more than "spiritual guidance".
- A short first-person description about what the person is going to get.
- Languages and country, because a lot of people filter on exactly that.
Days 2 to 5: pick your hours and hold them
Your status is visible in real time, and you only appear as an option while you are online. Two fixed windows you can hold all week beat scattered stretches.
Two things drop you off the list without you noticing:
- Three missed calls in a row switch your profile to offline automatically. Check that notifications are enabled.
- A busy status that does not clear. If you are still busy after a session ends, close and reopen the app.
If you are stepping away, mark yourself offline. That beats appearing available and not answering.
All week: earn the first review
The first review is the hardest to get and the one that pays off most. Two routes:
- Gift minutes. You can give someone minutes so they message you for the first time. That conversation usually brings the first review.
- Close every session properly. A clear final answer, with the conversation not left hanging, is what makes someone bother to rate you.
Do not ask for the review inside the time the client is paying for. It shows, and it costs you a worse rating.
What to expect on the money
Your balance accumulates and payment is processed on the 18th of each month, as long as you reach $ 50 USD. Add your bank details or your PayPal email before that date: if they are incomplete, the payment is generated anyway and your balance resets.
You will very likely not reach the minimum in your first month. That is normal, and it is not a signal of anything.
